Shutters are an easier way to secure your property, block out sunlight, and maintain your privacy. You don’t have to pull any cords as you do with most types of blinds. Instead, shutters are a couple of hinged panels that are fixed on the exterior or interior of your window. You can open and close your shutters just as easily as you can open and close a door.
It is even more imperative that you purchase shutters that match the size and shape of your windows. Shutters are made from solid materials that are fixed into place on hinges. If just one centimetre of the size is off, then it could cause sunlight to creep through the side of the shutters. Either that or the shutters won’t fit in your window frame because they’re oversized.

Simply book an appointment via email or phone with one of our customer service representatives, and we’ll send someone to your property to take measurements. These measurements will be used to create the proper size shutters for your windows. Our shutters are guaranteed to fit perfectly on your windows.
The Blinds and Shutter Company has at least six types of shutters available to choose from. These shutter types include full height shutters, café style shutters, tier on tier shutters, bay window shutters, garden door shutters, and shaped window shutters. The choice you make depends on the size and shape of your windows.
For example, the shaped window shutters are suitable for windows that have a round top or bottom to them. But if your windows have perpendicular sides and/or parallel sides, then full height shutters might be more suitable for them.
The materials we use to create your shutters may include cedarwood, ABS, MDF, or hardwood. ABS and MDF are easier to clean, which is why people like to choose them. But if you prefer the natural rural style look, then cedarwood or hardwood shutters are a better option.
